The Department of English of this college has been established in 1996. The mother institution, Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Nashik considered the need of English for the students of rural area and decided to start English as a special subject in this college. English as the international language plays important role in the life of students for better future job and business opportunities. Our department is always attempting to enhance the linguistic ability among the students. Nandgaon is drought-prone area and poverty is the main obstacle in seeking higher education. The mother institution thought about this and started this subject at special level so that the economically backward students of the area could afford to come and to enroll themselves in the college. our department is always looking for better prospects to enrich the students through various skills. we have well established Language library. the department has been providing the students the recent issues in literature and language through internet and lingual phones and music systems. the department has qualified faculty and they are always striving for the better teaching performance. The department has always been organizing seminars, workshops and conferences for teachers, researchers and students to interact about literature and language. we have departmental library that provides reference books to the students.
